This past weekend, the Cookie Brigade raised money at PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia, PA. Bringing both new and returning interactive booth elements, new pins, new merch, and lots of cookies, the event was a major success. We had the same location as last year, surrounded by many great booth neighbors. With the help of the highly supportive community at PAX Unplugged, we were able to raise over $63,000 for charity, our best PAX Unplugged by over $20,000!
Pins
This PAX Unplugged brought the latest pin in the Cookie Brigade Pinny Arcade series, the Cookie GM! This pin incorporates see-through elements in the background and highlights the fun and chaos that come along with being a GM for your favorite adventure party. This pin will be the final pin made in our adventure party series (for now, at least!), and we’re so grateful for the support that the community has shown this set throughout the past couple of years. We can’t wait to show off what we have planned for 2025!
Dice Tower
We were super excited to be able to show off this 16-foot dice tower by artcarp. Their fine woodworking and beautiful art were an excellent combination for attendees to run their own dice through the tower or to purchase one of our new Cookie Brigade D20s. The tower was also the perfect thing to tie our booth together and give people a tall beacon to follow to get to our booth. The tower raised thousands for charity through donations to die through it, and it was one of our favorite parts of this show.
The mimic also made a return, giving out great prizes in exchange for tasty snacks and generous donations to charity. The mimic has unfortunately been released into the wild after being full of cookies, potatoes and coins. We’ll miss him at future shows, but we’re sure he’s out having a great time in the wild!
New Merch
We unveiled two major merch items at PAX Unplugged: our large, heavy-duty lanyards, and the new, officially branded Cookie Brigade cat tote! Our first cat tote was super popular, so we figured it was a good time to add some Cookie Brigade magic, and plenty of easter eggs! We also made sure to have a large strap for the bag, to make it as easy as possible to carry around your con loot!
We’ve spent a long time working on our XL pin lanyard. As we create new Pinny Arcade pins every year, we want to make sure that PAX attendees could fit all of their favorites on their lanyard. We’re so happy with how the finished product came out, and can’t wait to share it with more shows next year!

We are only able to have events like this with the help of our fantastic community. The PAX crowd always shows up for the Cookie Brigade, and we are continually blown away by the support from the community at every event. Donating for cookies allows us to support Child’s Play and its incredible mission, and purchasing our pins, plushies, and other merch, as well as our interactive booth elements, allows us to continue being at events and go to new ones.
We have a highly dedicated group of volunteers who show up year after year at PAX Unplugged. To our volunteers, thank you. What you do at events may vary, whether that’s helping attendees get their hands on tasty treats, collecting donations for charity, or wrangling an unruly mimic. Don’t forget: you are the cookie brigade. We can’t do this without you, and we’re so proud of our volunteer base for allowing us to continue doing what we do.
