On May 8th-11th, The Cookie Brigade raised money at PAX East in Boston, MA. It was an incredibly eventful weekend filled with thousands of cookies, partnerships new and old, brand new merch, events, and more! Thanks to the amazing PAX Community, our volunteers and our partners, we were able to raise over $140,000 for charity, once again breaking our record from the previous year!
New Pins
This PAX East, Cookie Brigade unveiled its first spinning pin! We couldn’t be happier with how this Nyan Cat spinner turned out. This pin was available in blindbags with two emoji pins also possible.
The pins were a huge success, and were a major fundraising tool for us at this show. Massive thanks to nyan.cat for allowing us to make this design and use it at this PAX East for our fundraising efforts! We have some amazing pins in store for other events this year, that we can’t wait to show off as they get a little closer.
Bribe the GM
Our interactive booth element at this PAX was a brand new one, called “Bribe the GM”, where attendees could visit our GM stand and get sent on quests around the show. Quests included visiting PAX staples like the Jackbox stage and Omegathon rounds, visiting our partners, answering trivia, and more!
Adventurers who successfully completed a quest were awarded with prizes that included rare pins, community-made items, and limited-edition grand prizes from our partners at Audio-Technica.
We had an incredible turnout in participation in this element, and it’s cemented itself as one of our most successful. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Rough and Tumbler
After being fans of their tumblers for a while, we decided to finally collaborate with D&Tea to make the latest in their Rough and Tumbler series, the Baker tumbler!
Not only does this tumbler look fantastic, designed by Sam Rusk, but it comes with a built-in tea infuser! We’ll be bringing this awesome new product back to PAX West later this year!
Cozy Cookie Candle
Our friends at Dragon’s Den Candles were kind enough to design this amazing, cookie-scented candle for us! We love how it turned out, and they were super well-received at PAX East.
These candles will make a return at PAX West as well, later this year!
Thanks and other acknowledgements
With the success that last PAX East brought us, it’s extremely validating to have this success at this show again. With such a big number staring at us at the end of each show, we’re constantly reminded how lucky we are to have an amazing community supporting us at every event. Thank you to everyone who participated in our interactive booth element, purchased merch, shared our mission on social media, or got a cookie!
Our volunteers are the reason that we can continue to run this large of an activation. For an event the size of PAX East, it takes over 40 volunteers to keep our booth running smoothly. Thank you to each and every one of you who donated your time, we can’t do this without you!
